The Sailor Iriomote Cat F3 design centers around the critically endangered Iriomote cat—a rare wildcat found only on Okinawa’s subtropical Iriomote Island, where fewer than 100 individuals remain in the wild. Rendered in a rich, warm, earthy chocolate-brown resin, the cap features subtle, dark spot patterning that evokes the cat's natural camouflage. As you turn the barrel, a delightful two-sided illustration unfolds: on one side, you are greeted by the charming face of an Iriomote cat looking forward with wide, curious eyes and playful striped markings; rotate the pen to the other side, and you'll see the mother cat from behind with a sweet little kitten peeking right out from behind her back!
Illustrated in warm tawny-tan hues with bold leopard-like spots, the artwork on the Sailor Iriomote Cat F3 is paired with elegant gold-plated accents and a gold plated Sailor F3 stainless steel nib hand-finished by skilled Sailor artisans. The nib size options include all five of Sailor’s hand-finished stainless steel fountain pen nib sizes.
Beyond being a purr-fect everyday writer, this pen writes for a wonderful cause. A portion of the proceeds from every pen will be donated directly to the World Natural Heritage Okinawa Conservation Consortium to support species conservation and environmental protection in Okinawa. Each pen comes packaged with an informational partner card, a matching collectible Iriomote cat sticker, an ink cartridge, and a converter so you can start writing right out of the box.
